About: Victoria Park in Canton has a brilliant kids’ splash pool which has to be one of the best free facilities in South Wales. It’s big enough for not-so-small children to have a swim, but intimate enough for toddlers to have a great splash around, too, without being overwhelmed. There are also tennis courts, a friendly family-run snack and ice cream kiosk, beautifully kept gardens and plenty of space to run around.

Lido Ponty
About: With three pools; a main pool, an activity pool and a splash pool, Lido Ponty offers fantastic swimming opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Lido Ponty features external and internal showers, heated changing facilities and a state-of-the-art Visitors’ Centre which tells the amazing story of The National Lido of Wales. Lido Ponty is one of the most iconic open-air lidos in the UK.

Clifton Lido
About: Just across the bridge you'll find the Clifton Lido. This lido combines contemporary chic with Victorian heritage – the poolside changing facilities comprising colourful striped curtains and wooden cubicles – and is very much a stylish spot for grown-ups to relax and unwind in. The 24m outdoor swimming pool is heated throughout the year to a temperature that will leave you feeling fresh and energised. At between 20-24 degrees Celsius, it allows for comfortable swimming.

Blackpill Lido
About: You can spend a sunny afternoon with the family Swansea's very own outdoor water park. You'll find plenty of family fun for free at Blackpill Lido. The lido is a must when the weather is good with its superb paddling pool, children's play area, climbing rock and picnic facilities. With plenty of attractions nearby including the award winning Clyne Gardens and Swansea Bay there is plenty to do to ensure a great family day outside of Cardiff.
