Cardiff is a city with the luxury of being situated right next to the bay, and with that brings a variety of watersports to get stuck into!

What better way to either cool off from the sun or if it isn't too warm just pretend it's summer than going and getting involved with some of Cardiff's best watersports.

Whether it's just a visit the ever popular Cardiff International White Water, or paddleboarding around Cardiff Marina and Bay; no matter if you're a pro or beginner, there's watersports in Cardiff for all to enjoy...

Go on a Cardiff Bay Boat Trip

Go on a Cardiff Bay Boat Trip

Cardiff Bay has received major investment in recent years and it’s looking rather lovely these days. The best way to see it on a sunny day is taking a boat trip on the bay.

There are many options of different boat speeds and lengths. But with children, we would highly recommend Cardiff Baytrippers or The Open Boat 20 minute journeys around the bay. With this you can go on a boat, have a good look and get off the boat before the little ones get too bored or restless!

Go to the Park

Go to the Park

Cardiff has several parks in or around its city centre, the biggest of which is Bute Park. Here you can go for a family walk, follow animal and sculpture trails or simply pack a picnic and to let the kids play at one of the outdoor playgrounds.

Bute Park also has a Woodland Play Trail that you can follow with the kids as well as three different cafes if you don’t want to bring a picnic.

They have a number of different free trails for everyone: families, couples and hikers. Either way, on a nice day, you couldn’t do much better than a relaxed day in the park.
