The Boy at the Back of the Class
An award-winning family stage adaptation celebrating friendship, kindness and compassion, told through the eyes of a child as a class welcomes a new boy with a hidden story.
The Boy at the Back of the Class is a Children’s Theatre Partnership and Rose Theatre production based on the best-selling novel by Onjali Q. Raúf. The story follows a classroom where a new boy, Ahmet, arrives and sits in the previously empty chair at the back. As classmates learn he has fled a war-torn country, they hatch “The Greatest Idea in the World” to help reunite him with his family.
