About: Dyffryn Gardens is renowned for its splendid Edwardian gardens, which span over 55 acres on the outskirts of Cardiff in St. Nicholas. The Edwardian gardens are undergoing an ambitious garden revival project to restore them to their original splendour, and the architecturally impressive Victorian Mansion is also a sight to behold. When visiting, we recommend you take a close look around all of the garden rooms, each has something different to offer!

Price: Adults £8, Children £4. Members go free.

Facilities: Accessible oilets, cafe selling hot and cold refreshments next to the house. 

Dogs: Allowed, but must be kept on leads. Dogs are not permitted in the house.

Tredegar House Wales

Tredegar House

About: Tredegar House is one of the most significant late 17th-century houses in the whole of the British Isles, located just 10 miles from Cardiff near Newport, Wales. The house sits in a whopping 90 acres of land, so it offers the perfect day out for everyone with plenty of formal gardens, parkland and meadows to explore. And it's not just beautiful land the estate has to offer - the history of the house and its residents is super interesting! 

Price: Adults £5, Children £2.50. Members go free.

Facilities: Toilets in main car park, cafe and play area on site, gift shop.

Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the parkland and on a short lead in the garden.

Lanlay

About: Lanlay Meadows is a beautiful, untouched landscape located in the beautiful valleys of the Vale of Glamorgan and provides some truly stunning walks. The land remains untouched and is home to plenty of wildlife including kingfishers, otters, different types of birds and bats. The site has two main paths which wind you in and out of meadows, woodland and rivers, making it a truly desirable and impressive landscape.
