Looking Forward to Christmas!

By Charlott Fagergard and Jamie McAnsh, director and founder of See No Bounds which is an online community centre that works with businesses to create a personality behind the brand. The business is based in South Wales.

What does Christmas 2020 mean for you in your business?

Hope and new opportunities.

In your business when do you start planning for Christmas?

We start our planning in October to help our members become visible and online ready for Christmas. We also plan forward for our monthly events, competitions, and live shows.

Will your business be operating differently during Quarter 4 2020?

Yes, we will be operating differently as we are now focusing our efforts strongly on our current members, making sure they feel driven and inspired – ready for the New Year and its challenges.

Are you planning any events in Quarter 4, virtual or real world?

Yes, this month we have been running National Novel Writing Month and our short stories with the theme ‘The Covid Adventure from young to old'. They are now beginning to come through. We will announce the winner on 1st December. They will be published in the New Year with all proceeds going to the Lions Charity.

Have you got any milestones  to share?

Yes, we have our free for all Christmas market fundraising event for the Lions Charity. Our marketplace is free to join for all stall holders and the link will be to their own shop with no commission charges. We simply want to help small crafters and retailers and support the community.

On our Market day, Saturday 28th November you will be able to shop ‘til you drop, join us on Facebook live with ‘Meet the Makers’ as well as Switching on the Christmas Lights at home and ‘Best Dressed Christmas Window’.

Have you faced some challenges which have changed things for you?

Yes, our stock was delayed in China due to storms in the beginning of the year and our work pre the pandemic was mainly within schools and learning organisations. Therefore in March we saw our 'old' business collapse.

Since then we pivoted taking all our skills that we had and expanded into the online community centre that we can proudly present today.

How are you feeling generally about business in your community at this time?

Businesses are struggling and many seem to have written off this year, however we want to stay positive, current, and affordable. We would like to use our platform to show the whole business community that we are still strong, that we are still thriving and that we are still working together to put the services, products, and events of our members on the forefront of conversation.

Any special offers you’d like to mention?

We work closely with our members to offer our community a wide range of members offers. This will vary from 90% discount for CRM membership as well as three months free accountancy fees and even 50% off car leasing subscriptions.

And finally:

If this pandemic has had any positive outcome it is that we have got closer and learnt to work together as a community to support each other. As we need to continue to stay physically distant, we can still stay sociable via virtual events.
