St Davids Day Run

The St Davids Day Run is a Cardiff running event in Bute Park featuring family-friendly race options from a kids’ mini run to 5K, 10K and half marathon distances.

The St Davids Day Run takes place on Sunday 1 March 2026 in Bute Park, Cardiff, celebrating St David’s Day with multiple race options, including a mini run for children. Races and start times: - Half Marathon (13.1 miles): 09:00 (age 17+), entry £30-£35 - 5K: 10:00 (age 11+), entry £25-£30 - 10K: 10:00 (age 15+), entry £25-£30 - Kids 1.5K: 11:30 (all ages), entry £10 The event encourages fancy dress and a celebratory atmosphere, welcoming participation from families, friends and colleagues. It is partnered with Cancer Research Wales and Kidney Wales, with a donation from every entry supporting the charities. Entrants receive chip timing, a finisher medal, drinks and refreshments, plus discount offers from event partners. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps, and the half marathon is just over four laps, with split times provided for each lap.
