Getting There:
Tip: Weekends and evenings are busiest, so plan ahead or visit on weekday afternoons for a more relaxed experience.
Just a short walk from City Hall Lawn, the Cardiff Castle Christmas Market brings even more festive cheer. Set against the stunning castle walls, it’s home to dozens of traditional wooden chalets selling crafts, jewellery, art, and mouthwatering food.
It’s the perfect place to find unique gifts and soak up the atmosphere with live music and twinkling lights.
The Ice Rink is the star of Winter Wonderland – covered, open-air, and surrounded by lights. Sessions are available for individuals, groups, and families, with skate aids for children.
After skating, head to the Alpine Village for hot drinks, cocktails, and hearty winter food. Expect cosy seating, festive tunes, and plenty of Christmas spirit.

Yes! Entry to the main site is free – you just pay for skating, rides, or food and drink.

No – it’s usually closed on Christmas Day, but open throughout the festive season before and after.

Dogs on leads are welcome in outdoor areas but not permitted on the ice rink or inside enclosed food areas.
