Every business has its “why”. The reason we do what we do. Molly, our Labrador became ill while staying with an unlicenced dog boarder. Molly is our “why”. We set up Poochee Care because we had experienced, firsthand, how difficult it is to find a trustworthy and caring place to look after our dog. We wanted to create a dog boarding experience that allows owners to enjoy their holiday and not worry about their pets. We wanted to create an environment where we would be happy leaving our own pets.
Poochee Care are advocates for better dog care, and ethical standards in businesses that support dogs and their owners. When your dog visits us you can be sure that your pet is safe and secure.
We are:
- Fully insured and licensed, trained and certified in canine first aid.
- We are DBS checked.
- We only board one family’s dogs at a time.
- Have a CCTV system to ensure the highest level of security.
Aside from this we are 100% complete and utter animal lovers. We treat them all as family.

We set up Poochee Care in 2018. Before this, we were always dog owners ourselves, and understand that worried feeling when you must leave your dog with someone you don’t know well. We want you to be happy and confident in our service and know that your dog will be loved when you aren’t there to do it yourself.
Our dog, Molly, was a Golden Labrador, who loved everyone so we knew we wouldn’t have a problem with finding her a pet sitter who she would be happy with. We know how difficult it is to put your trust in someone who is a stranger to you and your dog, especially if the dog is anxious or less happy around new people.
Whether you are going on holiday, travelling for business, or attending a special occasion, we know that for many people, the thought of spending time away from their pet can bring up all kinds of worry, upset, and even dread.
You may be asking yourself, will my pet get the time, love, and attention they need when I can’t be there? Will they think I have abandoned them?
We understand you are worried that no one else will care for them the way you can.
Every service Poochee Care offers considers these concerns. This is why everything we do is based on our understanding of how you feel, and is tailored to what you tell us your pet needs… every small important detail. Especially the ones you think no one will honour in your absence.
